DETROIT RIVER WALLEYE

April 1-June 21 (MI and Canadian Water) & Oct - Dec.

Captain Z keeps careful records of every outing that include Water temperatures, wind, clarity, species and of course fish totals.  In back to back years.  Captain Z broke records for species and quantities of fish.  During our Walleye outings Captain Z also harvested Master Angler Muskie, Sheep Head, and Red Horse Sucker!  We hooked into a few giant Sturgeon as well. Talk about a fun rush on Walleye gear.

The 2019 Spring run did not disappoint.  While the rain and wind kept us on our toes we managed a great spring season.  Between the rain drops we managed limits most days with a surprising number of Muskie being caught this spring.  The season seemed to be endless with quality catches and limits happening well in June and even early July.  We made history this season by being featured on Michigan Out of Doors Television (episode 1925).

.

The 2018 Season was a record haul for us.  In April, a happy client brought in an 11lb Monster Walleye into the boat.  2018 saw most outings limit out on walleye in under an hour.  (we still fish catch and release after limits are achieved) .  In fact, from April 15 to June 22 every charter customer caught a limit of fish!  During our Walleye outings Captain Z also harvested Master Angler Muskie, Sheep Head, and Red Horse Sucker!  We hooked into a few giant Sturgeon as well. Talk about a fun rush on Walleye gear.

Captain Z has a close network of friends and family that help him keep a close eye on his hot spots.  Captain Z's Network of local experts is unrivaled.  Captain Z has friends at every Marina in the area including Harbor Town, Keans, Sindbads, Riverside, Libra, Jefferson Beach, Harbor Club North, and more.

Our Detroit River spring Walleye experience is a must for every level of fishing enthusiast.  The spring run is truly one of nature's most bountiful gifts.  The Detroit River fills with millions of Walleye from Ice out to mid June.

The 32 mile stretch of River from Lake St. Clair to Lake Erie is loaded with islands, drop offs and Channels.  It is the ideal place to bring home your limit of walleye or the wall hanger you always wanted.

Captain Z utilizes several different methods to catch fish.  He has perfected the technique of Controlled Drift Jigging.  Where heavy jigs and plastics are used to entice the walleye into biting.  We are also proficient in hand lining for those interested in using the true “River Rat” technique.

A growing trend is what we call our NIGHT BITE outings.

We head out on the Detroit River minutes before dark to begin your fishing adventure.  Jigging and casting to unsuspecting Walleye.  From the dark depths comes seemingly endless hulls of fish. The experience is enhanced by the surrounding  beauty of the lights from Downtown Detroit and Windsor.

Come Aboard with Captain Z.

The Walleye are waiting.
